Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys

Having released five studio albums Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not in 2006, Favourite Worst Nightmare in 2007, Humbug (2009), Suck It and See (2011) and the latest released in 2013 AM. Arctic Monkeys had the fastest-selling debut album in British history, for which they also won the Mercury Prize. The band have previously been nominated for two Grammy Awards and won five BRIT Awards: Best British Breakthrough Act (2006); Best British Group and Best British Album (2007); Best British Group and Best British Album (2008) and have been nominated for Best British Group and Best British Album in 2014.

Bastille

Bastille

English four-piece Bastille formed in 2010 and released their debut album Bad Blood in March 2013. The rock group have been nominated for four BRIT Awards in 2014: British Breakthrough Act, British Group, British Album and British Single.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars was born in Hawaii. He released his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans in 2010 and second album Unorthodox Jukebox followed in 2012. He won a BRIT Awards in 2012 for International Male Solo Artist.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry

American singer Katy Perry was just a teen when she released self-entitled debut album Katy Hudson. Seven years on and her single "I Kissed A Girl" became a hit. One Of The Boys was released in the UK in 2008, with Teenage Dream following in 2010 and Prism in 2013. The singer won a BRIT Award for International Female Solo Artist in 2009 and is up for the same award in 2014.

Lorde

Lorde

Singer-songwriter Lorde released her debut album Pure Heroine in September 2013 which reached the top spot in her native New Zealand as well as Australia and reached no.4 in the UK charts. Lorde won both Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her debut single "Royals" at the 2014 Grammys and is nominated for International Female Solo Artist at this year's BRITs.

Pharrell Williams

Pharrell Williams

Singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, is there nothing Pharrell can't do? He works with Chad Hugo producing soul, hip hop and R&B music as duo The Neptunes, and is lead vocalist and drummer of band N.E.R.D. He released his first album In My Mind in 2006 with a second due this year. With six singles to his name he has also featured on more than 30 tracks including 2013's "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines". The singer has won seven Grammy Awards as a producer, rapper and singer and is nominated for an Oscar in 2014 for single "Happy" from the Despicable Me 2 film.

Rudimental

Rudimental

English quartet Rudimental burst onto the charts in May 2012 when their single "Feel The Love" featuring John Newman hit the no.1 spot. The electronic group released their debut album Home in April 2013 taking the top spot in the UK album chart, winning Best Album Award at the 2013 MOBOs as well as reaching the shortlist for the 2013 Mercury Prize. The group are nominated for three BRIT Awards in 2014: British Group, British Album and British Single.
