This is a very readable guide to the whole process of preparing and delivering a successful presentation, including some very useful tips about how to structure your piece in the most effective and efficient way. It debunks some myths about presenting and emphasises what the best speakers have always known - that natural and authentic is best. The advice for how to reduce preparation time and be able to dispense with notes is very valuable. As someone who is comfortable and practiced in public speaking I still found new things to try, so recommend it to anyone who is just starting out on their presentation journey.

This after-life story is presented with a very light touch yet I also found it very thought-provoking. It has just the right amount of pace to keep the reader turning the pages, while at the same time raising some quite profound questions in the reader's mind. It's cleverly done and it got me thinking about how much our experience really is a product of our own background and imagination. The evocation of place was well done - though Elyria sounds like a dreadful place to me! I thought Zoe's character had a lot of potential, and her selfishness is well presented, in a way that the reader can identify with.
