What more can I say than, THANK YOU TreSemme!

Oh my goodness, I never thought I'd see the day when a hair product actually did what it claimed! Of course we all see the advertisements and hear how they boast about so many women said their hair was better after one wash, and of course we take it with a pinch of salt. As most women do not have a stylist on hand to professionally blow dry and style their after each and every wash. BUT.....using this Keratin Smooth Hair Serum along with the accompanying Shampoo and Conditioner has changed my hair's life! Yes I said my Hair's Life, lol. I should state that I bought the Serum along with the matching TreSemme Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner so I used all three as recommended on the product. So my review will be taking into consideration not only the serum alone, but the Shampoo and Conditioner as this is how I've used it.

Firstly, I feel I should describe to all the women (and men) out there reading this review, just what my hair is like, before you think I have perfectly short, straight and well behaved hair that does what its told with just a stern look. That is not my hair!! I am naturally fair, struck down with the biology of both parents hair type.....one curly, one straight which inevitably equates to me having.....you guessed it.....fuzzy, thick, unmanageable hair. Not only that, my hair is long and I'm talking LOOOOONG locks, down to almost my tail bone. It's so long that I regularly get into my car, close the door and then realise that I've trapped half my head of hair in the car door and there it is, outside my car, blowing in the breeze, lol.

Excellent Product and Works a Charm!

I got a free sample of this treatment in a magazine and I was a bit dubious but thought it was worth a shot.
Usually my hair stays fairly straight after straightening in the morning, and I can go a whole day without straightening, however the next morning (if I don't wash my hair) I still need to straighten it again. If I wash it definitely need to (otherwise I look like something out of silence of the lambs!)
I used this treatment on Saturday evening and blow dried and straightened my hair that evening too. After sleeping on it, I was surprised to find that I could run a brush through my hair and that was it - no other treatment needed! I was very happy.
Monday morning I woke up and it was still straight, excellent! I had to wash my hair Monday morning though because I knew it would start to get greasy during the day if I didn't. I washed it and blow dried it, and apart from a few small curls at the top of my neck (where my hairline joins), the remainder of my hair stayed straight. I was quite impressed.
I washed it again this morning (Tuesday) and it did need a full straighten again this morning, however it didn't take as long as usual, so I wonder whether the treatment was still working? It does say it lasts 4 washes.
Anyway, because it was so easy to use and saved me a lot of morning straightening hassle, I will be purchasing the treatment and hopefully it works as well as the sample. Would definitely recommend!

Mixed results

I gave this a try in my ongoing quest for straight hair. My hair is naturally a bit wavy and is prone to what I would call “fluffiness”. I also have layers, which don’t help matters.

I had mixed results. I think the key thing with this product is “less is more”. It says on the bottle to use 8-12 sprays for mid length hair. My hair is a fair bit longer than mid length but I found this way too much. It took ages to dry, felt really sticky and heavy, and did an absolutely wonderful job of coating my straighteners in sticky gunk.

I cut it down to 6 sprays the subsequent times, and it was better. I wouldn’t say it made my hair any easier to straighten, but it did get rid of some of the flyaway bits and it looked a bit sleeker. To be fair to the product, my hair is difficult to get straight- I think even Nicky Clarke, armed with an industrial ghd, would struggle. I think the “up to 7 days smooth” claim is a bit optimistic- it didn’t survive one wash on my hair.

I may buy it again, or try a different Keratin based product. It’s worth a try- but don’t expect too much. It is better than some of the other products I’ve tried but it’s not the Holy Grail of hair straightening products.

Finally a hair product which works!

Like many, I have tried and tested various hair products for my frizzy hair. I have always been disappointed. This product is superb. I used 4 drops, blow dried and then used the hair straightener. It was sleek and felt like salon styled hair. Day 4, it was drizzling. I thought my hair would would get frizzy. But no! As I have naturally curly hair, there are a few curls but no frizz! Do give it a try!

It was delivered in good time and packed well.
