Taking your blood pressure is simple with the M3 monitor. The M3 has a wide cuff (22–42 cm) that can be adjusted to suit a variety of arm sizes, and the cuff wrapping guide icon lights up when the cuff is wrapped correctly, allowing you to feel more confident about the accuracy of your results.
The M3 is also equipped with a memory function that allows for two users to store up to 60 readings each.
Accuracy as well as comfort is ensured with Intellisense technology, which always inflates the cuff to the peak pressure that is tailored to your own blood pressure level, ensuring a more comfortable measurement.

Hypertension – what is blood pressure?

Apparently there is a phenomenon called 'white coat syndrome', a patient can have an elevated blood pressure simply by having their bp tested.
As blood pressure can be an indicator of health status, it is handy to know your bp. You need a bp monitor, the simpler the better.
The Omron blood pressure monitor is easy to use, simple to understand and perfect for the home user.
Setting the bp monitor up is very simple, put the batteries in, attach the cuff and hey presto! It works. In a few seconds an accurate reading is available.
The system also enables you to keep 7 days reading, to keep track I suppose.
There is also included a handy case to store the monitor in.
A quality piece of equipment, handy to have around.

If you need to regularly take your blood pressure (for whatever reason) you could do worse than this. It's inexpensive, simple to use and has a sturdy feel, so it should last, although it may be that it would not be up to professional use. As others have pointed out, it's battery powered and could benefit from mains power but that's a minor quibble really, solved by getting rechargeable batteries

I got this as my dad has heart problems and needed an easy to use blood pressure monitor to use on a daily basis. This was easy to set up and use straight from the box. Its battery powered (4x AA, supplied) and in a simple few steps you can get your reading. You could easily use this on your own without anyone else helping.
There's a range of other readings such as notifications of irregular heartbeat. The dial is easy to read and stores up to 60 readings for two people.
