I never paid much attention to Dr Feelgood in the 70's, but came back to them after hearing a track recently. I am really glad I bought this collection, as there's some really good rock songs, and I love the bluesy harmonica solos that accompany Wilko's lead guitar. A very good buy!

This album has a much more countrified sound than the previous 3 albums, and is certainly none the worse for that. It contains some really great songs, and the tracks are generally much more melodic. Ramblin' Man and Jessica showcases their great virtuostic skills, and the whole album is a wonderful listening experience

Good Raw Rock and blues, 18 Oct 2013

The first two studio albums by the Allmans show what a great prospect they were at the time. Classics like Whipping Post, Revival and In Memory of Elizabeth Reed are in this collection, but at just over 30 minutes each, they are a tad short. Buying the two together in Beginnings though, represents really good value.
