And believe you me I am a novice. So, if you have a relative good grasp of DIY then this book is not for you. If you return to the scene of a DIY crime with trepidation then this is our book. A book that will try to keep us sane when dealing with the horror of shelves, wallpaper, painting etc etc. A useful book but so is the yellow pages - worth seeing first before making a purchase as I imagine that this is a book to prevent DIY disasters rather than inspire masterpieces....

The student survival skills series seem to be unearthing some very good learning material at a very reasonable price. Whilst not in the league of the royal mars den (but let's be honest - what is?) this book keeps the learning process simple, relative jargon free and straight forward. Worth seeking out...

Surprisingly well protected bag that has already survived the trip using the train to get into Kings Cross. Plenty of room for a laptop - has been used for an overnight bag and was practical enough to survive. Whilst I did not expect much from it - it does a much better job than more expensive bags.
