What's the difference between Cloud Drive and Cloud Player?

Amazon Cloud Drive is Amazon's personal hard drive service in the cloud that allows you to securely store your videos, photos, documents and other files. You can also store music files in Cloud Drive, but Cloud Drive does not have a music player and cannot stream or play your music for you.

Amazon Cloud Player is Amazon's optimised music service that allows you to store, manage and play your music anywhere from the cloud.

Do I have to use the Amazon MP3 Downloader or Cloud Player for PC and Mac to download MP3s?

The Amazon MP3 Downloader and Cloud Player for PC and Mac are only required to download full albums or multiple tracks at once from the Amazon MP3 Store and Cloud Player for Web.

If you haven’t installed the Amazon MP3 Downloader or Cloud Player for PC and Mac, you can still download single-track purchases directly from the "Thanks" confirmation pages that appear after you place an order from the MP3 Store. Click the Download to your Computer button, and select "Skip installation and continue" or "No Thanks, just download my MP3 purchase instead.”

You can also download songs one-by-one, as individual MP3 files, from Cloud Player for Web. Check the box next to a single song, click Download, and if prompted to save or open the file by your web browser, choose Save. Selecting Open will start your default media player but will not save the file to your computer.

What is AutoRip?

When you purchase an AutoRip eligible physical album from Amazon.co.uk, an MP3 version of the album is added to Amazon Cloud Player for free.

How do I redeem an Amazon MP3 promotion or gift certificate?

On the product detail page of any song or album, you can click the "Redeem a gift certificate or promotion code & view balance" link under the "Buy Now with 1-Click" button and enter the promotional code.
