Having worked through the excellent VBA for Dummies, I was looking for a book to take me relatively gently to the next level (I am not a programmer, just a keen and experienced Excel user).

This was definitely NOT that book! It seems to me to be written for proficient programmers who are wanting to learn VBA - but already have a solid understanding of standard programming concepts through programming in other languages

As such, most topics are covered very cursorily, and seem to take a lot of previous programming knowledge for granted, and so aren't at all accessible to the more novice programmer (ie me).

It gets 3 stars as it does cover a lot of topics (in a way that may be right for you) and the working examples at the end are useful.

But this is defintiely not for new-to-programming types - I followed up with VBA Power Programming which for me is far more accesible and useful
