Wipes the floor with the competition.

I've tried wipes before and wasn't overly impressed because they didn't really shift dirt or grease. These Dettol wipes exceeded my expectations, working their way through dirt I didn't even know was there until I'd seen the difference between an area I had used the wipe on, and an untreated area. They smell fresh, although the scent is not overpowering, and they contain a generous amount of detergent, keeping them moist and maximising their usefulness. The wipes are also very strong, meaning they won't wear thin and result in your hands getting covered in the very dirt you're trying to clean! They are also skin friendly; my sensitive hands have no complaints even when I have used them without my Marigolds. I will definitely keep using these wipes.

Tough, efficient wipes for all-round household use.

I've given these Dettol wipes a wide range of cleaning challenges since they arrived this morning. This included oily finger-prints on a PVC doorframe, sticky yeast extract on kitchen work-surfaces, bathroom tide-marks; they coped well with each one.
The fresh, pleasant, lemon scent isn't the antiseptic niff associated with the traditional Dettol of a Sixties childhood; consequently it's not out of place in the kitchen, bathroom or anywhere else around the house.

I found they were particularly useful in wiping away the chalky residue left by the cream cleaner I'd used the other day in the bathroom.
This can be difficult to remove by other methods; it interferes with the suction strength of safety mats, so it needs to be cleaned off thoroughly.

If you are already buying separate wipes products for the kitchen and bathroom this is a great way of saving some money. Strong and durable and very cost effective, especially if you use a paper towel/cloth and spray method to clean at the moment.

Reasonable product, not that competitive a price

The product is okay, barely smelling of lemon but not unpleasant. Packaging not great - easy to pull out more than one wipe by mistake. A single wipe will be sufficient for most kitchen or bathroom small-area surfaces and the after-effect is just about satisfactory.

Currently these cost about 3.8p each, based on a purchase of 8 packs of 72 (total 576). That's not particularly competitive - for example ASDA are currently selling a near identical product (Dettol Anti-Bacterial Multi Action Wipes Citrus Zest)for £1 for a pack of 36, or 2.8p per wipe. If you were to use 2000 wipes a year, this product from Amazon would cost £76, the same thing from ASDA would cost £56. In summary, an okay product that does the job at an uncompetitive price.

A quick and easy solution

I always use the Dettol sprays, and it's a brand that's worth paying the money for. This was the first time I have cleaned with the wipes, and they have come in really handy!

The wipes are much stronger than I was expecting, and you can stretch out the wipe without it tearing to give a good scrub with them.

They dealt with all the spills in the kitchen, but I have also found that they are fab to use around other areas of the house too. Great for removing germs from door handles, stair rails and the loo seat.

A great product!

good for some, not so good for others...

These sheets are about 20x16cm in size and are just right for our needs. We mainly use these wipes to clean and disinfect our son's toys as well as for wiping his high chair (the whole of it not just the table top) and they perform these sometimes very messy jobs pretty well. My wife usually uses two wipes to ensure all the sticky surfaces are totally removed and she thinks the citrus zest smell is just right as it's not an overpowering smell that lingers.

I disagree, I think the fragrance is too faint and not lemony enough. I'm also not as keen on the feel of the solution that's used to wet the material as it feels too alkaline (soapy) for my preferences, the residue also doesn't evaporate fast enough.

She rates these as 5 stars whereas I'd only give them 3, hence, why we settled on the compromise of 4.

However, my wife also cautions buyers to price shop for these because at the moment a certain supermarket is currently selling these at a price 40% cheaper

OK but nothing special for the price

I go through a lot of these - I use them in the bathroom as I find them handy and I think it's especially hygienic to use a fresh wipe each time rather than a spray bottle and a reusable cloth.

I have tried several brands and found them all much the same, except some are too thin and break easily, and some smell nicer than others. Some also come in twos which are perforated, so if you only need one you get two out at the same time and have to tear one off and try and put it back in, which is annoying.

I found these nice and thick, they come in single wipes so no tearing and none of them split when I was using them.

However I found the smell disappointing - the packaging suggests it should be lemon with a hint of lime but I found the smell very artificial and not very fresh or pleasant smelling. At least the smell wasn't too strong, but I didn't like it. Other brands have nicer smells which leave a nice fresh scent behind.

The packaging makes strong claims for cleaning power, but I didn't notice them cleaning any better (or worse) than any other wipe I've used.

Overall they are OK but I think other brands are just as thick and good at cleaning but smell nicer and cost less, so I see no reason to pay extra for these.

Wouldn't buy them again.
