All ten episodes from the second season of the Golden Globe-winning HBO comedy drama following a group of 20-something women in New York. The show's creator Lena Dunham stars as Hannah, a struggling writer living in Brooklyn who finds herself broke when her parents decide to cut off their financial support. As she attempts to deal with the trials of life including problems at work and in her relationship with Adam (Adam Driver), her friends Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) each battle with their own issues. In this series, Hannah finally gets a chance to progress with her writing but finds the stress of the situation brings back the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder she had as a teenager. Elsewhere, Marnie loses her job and decides to pursue her passion for singing; the recently wed Jessa finds that her marriage is already in trouble and tries to reconnect with her father; and Shoshanna's relationship with Ray (Alex Karpovsky) continues to develop. Synopsis
Following the urban adventures of a group of 20-something women, the series focuses on Hannah Horvath (Dunham) and her complicated web of NYC friends, ex-friends, boyfriends, and ex-boyfriends. This season, Hannah forges ahead in her writing pursuits and begins seeing someone new, but her enthusiasm is tempered by the responsibility she feels her now-ex Adam (Adam Driver), convalescing after his Season 1 finale accident. Let down by works and still lonely after calling things off with Charlie, Marnie (Allison Williams) needs her best friend and former roommate more than ever, but lingering awkwardness – and some surprising turns – only drive a wedge further between the pair. Meanwhile, still-married Jessa (Jemima Kirke) returns from her honeymoon in Mexico, supplying Hannah with new, wild ideas. Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) takes charge of her new identity as a sexually active woman – and copes with the emotions that come along with it – as Ray (Alex Karpovsky) has an out-of-sight, out-of-mind attitude towards their relationship. The girls have their ups and downs, but the show's raw poignancy and fresh humor remain consistent. And Season 2 of Girls is as addictive as ever.

This season is by far the best series so far. It actually has a story besides the first season, if I were a beginner to the show, I'd just watch it from season 2! Can't wait for the third!

Im always left wanting more with this seris-this DVD is no exception. As always Hannah and her friends go off on the most random jaunts and all the main characters become even more endearing.

Depressing!
I don't really understand how this series qualifies as a comedy. This was a very depressing season. I am not watching the third season for sure.

Girls season 2

Just a good as series 1
Lena Dunham does it again. Sweet wayward Hannah continues to bumble through life not quite managing to grow up while her friends flit in and out of her life.
