Philips Sonicare brush heads are engineered to exacting standards, designed to work in partnership with the handles, with each part maximising the contribution of the other. Brush heads are made up of thousands of tiny filaments (or bristles), and each cluster of bristles is called a tuft. Bristles are made of the highest quality, extremely soft nylon available and are rounded at the top by diamond grinding wheels for safety and gentleness.
Bristles are trimmed in a scalloped (or contoured) pattern to fit the natural shape of teeth. The peaks and valleys along the length of the brush head are ergonomically designed to follow teeth topography and fit in between teeth.
The larger surface area and contoured bristles of the brush head are designed to fit the natural shape of your teeth. The brush head works with your choice of brushing modes on the toothbrush handle for a thorough clean every time you brush.
The science behind Sonicare brush heads means less dependence on the brusher’s technique to get the best results because the handle and brush head function properly in concert with each other. By radial trimming the bristles to follow an arc instead of a straight line, a larger surface area is created without increasing the size of the brush head platform. The outer bristles also angle out at five degrees to create a wider surface area. The curved face across the width of the brush complements the contour fit down the length of the brush to help maintain contact with the surfaces of teeth and gums as the brush head pivots, maximising the sweeping motion performed by the brush head.

My dentist recommended that I purchase a Philips Sonicare toothbrush last year. You can see the difference this has made to my teeth and gums and my dentist was very impressed with the results at my last dental checkup. As you receive only one toothbrush head with the toothbrush I needed to order a replacement. Buying the 3-pack is a really good deal. You can set up an automatic reorder which is delivered to your door every 6 months if you wish without having to reorder. The price is obviously cheaper by doing this. The brush heads need replacing approximately every 3 months, but if you are like me and can't remember when you last changed it, the dark blue bristles at the top of the head turn white. I would definately recommend this product.

I used two of the heads and both of them have come apart when taking the head off the base, the packaging was intact and ok so i'm not sure if theese are seconds. I will not be buying anymore from here .

i like the system,sonic as it does seem to clean very well, BUT if you abide by the brush instructions and change when some bristles change colour then the change would by very often. maybe it me and the way i clean my teeth.

I got three of these at end of Nov, by mid April all worn out ! This also happened with my last batch but I thought I had miscalculated. I agree with others - these heads significantly inferior to original supplied. I like the Sonicare system [this is my 3rd] but these poor quality heads make me think about switching because all in all it's expensive. But mainly I don't like the feeling of being duped ! I used to have a problem with overscrubbing with a manual toothbrush. Sonicare gets my teeth, and between my teeth, much cleaner without wear on my gums. However the cost of the brush heads is a joke. Even with the Amazon discount they come out at over four pounds each, when they must only cost pennies to make.

I have always been very happy with these brush heads. However, I am amazed at the price change from �11.17 in May of this year to �17.80 for the next delivery. I have cancelled the delivery and will have to think carefully about the future. Almost �6 a brush head? Come off it!
