When to change a nappy
In the first couple of months, you may find yourself changing nappies up to 10 times in 24 hours. Nappies should be changed whenever they are wet or soiled. Your baby will often (but not always) let you know.
Here are some common times for changing nappies:
- Right before or right after every feeding
- After every bowel movement
- Before bedtime
- When your baby wakes up
- When you go out with your baby
The art of changing nappies
Pampers nappies are designed to adjust to your baby's shape for a snug, comfortable fit. While changing nappies there's no need to fold the waistband in or out or to adjust the leg cuffs.
- Place tabs parallel to the waistband and centered on the character strip
- Use the characters as guides to ensure the fasteners are evenly spaced
- Keep baby products such as powder away from the fasteners so they maintain their stickiness
Wiping baby bottoms
All Pampers wipes clean gently and return the skin to its natural pH even after a wet change. Have a supply handy while changing nappies to help keep your baby clean and fresh. For baby girls, while changing nappies always wipe from front to back to minimize the amount of stool material that gets near her genitals. Also, be careful to clean all areas, as the folds in the skin around her genitals can hide urine and soil.
Finding the right size
Just like you, babies like to wear things that fit just right. Choose a size that does not sag or gap, even as your baby crawls and plays. This will help prevent leaks. Each product description on this site gives guidelines that represent the average weight for a particular size. And remember, when you move up a size, you gain absorbency.
Safe nappying
You buy the latest toys and babies wind up playing with silly things - like nappies. It's important to keep nappies where they should be, on your baby's bottom. Don't let your baby put the nappy in her mouth. Discard any nappy that has become torn or unsealed, and read the warning label on all bags.
Waste removal
As the Pampers bag recommends, you'll want to dispose of the bowel movements in the toilet. Then just roll the nappy into its backsheet, using the tape or fasteners to keep it closed, and dispose of it in your household rubbish.

As a new mum I was quite weary about the products I used for my baby, but Pampers never failed to deliver. We tried about 5 different brands overall but none came close to the quality of Pampers new baby (his is the only one we tried as baby's still very little).
Here are the features we found to be great:
-best one: wetness indicator!! It makes life so much easier to just quickly look at the nappy and know whether it needs to be changed or not;
-fabric is very soft so perfect for baby's skin - never had any irritation from it;
-the "frills" around the legs are even all around which prevents leaking (unlike Huggies);
On top of this the price here is probably the best compared to all supermarkets, some even during their 'baby event' sales, so I would definitely recommend this product!

Having stocked up on Huggies before our newborn arrived, we quickly discovered that Huggies were to cease selling most of their products in the UK.
What to do?
We pondered several brands, including several supermarket own brands, but read a lot of good things about Pampers.
The switch between brands could not have been easier, and our little man didn't even notice - and he can be very sensitive when it comes to nappy matters :-)
I've got to say that I actually think that these are better nappies than Huggies. They are incredibly absorbent, and our little one does like a good wee! And the strip on the front of the nappie turning from yellow to green is the perfect indicator for when it is time for a change.
Be aware that these 240 nappie boxes are huge, but are conveniently split down into 4 packs of 60 - so be sure that you have space to stash them. We worked out that each of these boxes would last for close to a month, and at 0.12p nappie, these are amazing value for money!
We could not be more happy.

Amongst the best nappies on the market, definitely get what you pay for. Pampers expertise speaks volumes, snug fit no accidental leakage and easy disposability. The design of the nappies helps keep the obvious mess a baby makes in these away from a babies skin thus avoiding skin irritations and discomfort. A wetness indicator will show you how

Great value for money and a great product! What more can I say?
As the size says, these are suitable from birth, specifically 3kg-6kg (or 6lbs-13lbs if you prefer).
As there are 240 nappies inside the box, you can imagine it's quite a large package to take delivery of. Luckily we had space to store them and ended up leaving everything in the box in the hallway. So be sure you have room to keep them somewhere.
The nappies themselves are nice and soft and with a smell of sanitation. They fit well, are elasticized around the legs and the waist is adjusted simply by sticking down the tabs where necessary. Highly recommended.

The hospital had these diapers so I used them at home too for awhile. Have now changed into another brand, but it's a good basic diaper. Don't like the strong smell they have.

Served their purpose. They were good for the purpose and were delivered promptly, The wetness indicator is a novalty, but you should never go by that alone! A wet nappy is a wet nappy and not good for babies to sit in. A good training tool for first time parents who have never experienced nappy changing and babies.
