When she first came out, I thought that she was too 'overexposed', and I didn't like her first single, but ever since Price Tag, I have taken notice of Jessie J, and after hearing Domino and Laserlight, I would say that she is the best female vocalists around right now (and am extremely disappointed she's not on the voting list for this years MTV VMA's). Anyway as its been a while since I felt the urge to buy a 'new release' album (mainly due to the poor standard of songs/artists), I decided to buy the deluxe edition cd release last night, which came with Autorip, as I quite like the versatility of the Amazon Cloud Player and Autorip. The tracks were available this morning when I checked my emails, and I have to say I am not disappointed. I had wondered if there might be too much rap, but no, its just good pop, for the most part. I started to get excited about this album after hearing her voice on the Boots advert, singing an unknown song, which turned out to be Sexy Lady, which is one of the best tracks on the album. Other brilliant tracks are Harder We Fall, Breathe, Gold, Hero, Magnetic and the already released singles.
One thing I will say, the cover artwork is a terrible photo of Jessie, I have no idea why anyone thought this would make a good album cover - but putting that aside, overall a great second release for Jessie J.

What can I say other than THANK YOU Ms. J for giving us another album of poptastic fun. I pride myself on being a fan of music that makes you feel...whether it be uplifted, inspired or introspective and vulnerable you deliver an unmistakable gem.
I live in the USA and bought the album late Sunday night...which was early Monday morning UK-time. The auto-rip feature was a god send....THANK YOU AMAZON.....being able to listen immediately was great.
The whole album is complete ear candy and your voice is undeniably INCREDIBLE.

Alive is the second studio album from Jessie-J.
I was fortunate enough to see Jessie play live at XOYO a week before the release of her debut album; having bought tickets on the merit of her YouTube videos. I remember vividly the excitement in the room. Half the room seemed to be fellow students from her BRIT school of music for whom Jessie must have provided an immense amount of inspiration. Whilst her singing talent was undeniable it was her positivity and confidence that took me by surprise.
This second album is a manifestation of Jessie's positivity. Unapologetically manufactured for the pop industry this album is destined to yield more hits and is brimming with collaborations and appearances. The only disappointment is that the acoustic honesty of some of her YouTube videos remains far removed from what we have seen so far, perhaps never to be seen.

The album really grows on you. I think almost every track except one or two are great. Good job Jessie!

First off, it is rare that I will listen to an album in its entirety, however this one I have listened to in full atleast 5 times now. There are some really great songs on this- Wild is the obvious first that comes to mind being the lead single. Others are 'sexy lady' which has been in my head for days, 'It's my party', 'excuse my rude', 'daydreamin' and 'hero'.
The other songs are not bad songs by any means - Jessie is a great singer and songwriter it can't be denied, but it all seemed a bit 'samey', many tracks sound similar and merge into one. I think this album could have done with some more upbeat songs so the other tracks would stand out more.
If you are a fan of Jessie J you will no doubt be delighted with this album, you can see a lot of effort has been made. But as a casual listener of Jessie some of the tracks just aren't distinguishable enough for me.
