Product Tips
- The screen protector is sandwiched between two pieces of clear plastic to keep it clean - referenced by Tab 1 (covering adhesive side) and Tab 2 (covering the top side).
- You may remove the plastic that protects the adhesive side (Tab 1) either all at once or while you're lowering the screen protector onto the device - but be aware that the sooner you remove it the more likely you are to have dust or particles on the adhesive, which may show through once you install the protector.
- Be sure to align the screen protector exactly with the Kindle Fire HD display, starting from one end of the device and slowly lowering and applying it to the screen, little by little.
- Avoid placing it down on the device all at once - this increases the likelihood that it won't align or that you'll get air or dust bubbles.
- The slower you go, the better your alignment will be - time, concentration and a steady hand are your friends in this process.
- Avoid touching anything but the sides or top of the protector during installation - touching the underside (where the adhesive is) may leave dirt, oils or smudges that won't be possible to remove later.
- If you encounter air bubbles after you've aligned the protector, work them out slowly towards the outside of the film with the applicator (included) - it may take several attempts to complete.
- Any dust or dirt particles trapped under the film may be difficult or impossible to remove once installed

I'll let you in one a little secret if you promise to keep it between us - these things dont cost �17.99 to make!
I dont know how anyone could justify the price for these. OK so they're the official "made for kindle fire hd" screen
protectors, but so what? There are countless other screen protectors also made for kindle fire hd which offer similar
protection but at a fraction of the price. They will work just as well and dont cost as much as a blu-ray film
I'm guessing the company who manufacturers these struck a deal with Amazon allowing them to slap the "official" badge on
them, but they seem to be offloading that cost onto the consumer. These are horribly overpriced, please avoid and buy one
of the cheaper alternatives, use the money you just saved to buy a nice film.

Having used anti scratch screen protectors on SLR cameras etc I was expecting at �17.99 for 3 a robust product.
However having fitted the first one it barely stayed on and appeared to have little adhesive power and quite flimsy when attached to the Hindle HD screen etc and the labels attached were not that easy to remove whole and left remanants on the protector requiring delicate removal. Also using the applicator card in an attempt to remove bubbles, it slightly scratched the screen protector even when used lightly [the cloth was better] and their were far too many small bubbles which would not disappear and this is despite being familair with using these products regularly.
The actual base holding the screen protector would have been a better product to attach as it was more robust although its thickness for touch-screen would need to be slightly thinner.
One would have thought with Amazons reputation such screen protectors would have been included with the product especially when spending �199 + �!7.99 on a powerfast charger + the �17.99 on these anti-scratch protectors which I feel was wasted money.
I was very disappointed with the quality and thickness of these protectors although I accept others will be satisfied, but my experience is they need to be thicker.

This is a difficult item to review. As other reviewers have stated - it is very fiddly to put on, but then most screen protectors are. It is absurdly expensive for what it is, but it does fit the Kindle Fire HD Screen exactly. Only you can decide whether it is necessary to purchase this. Personally I have young children who have already been using the screen games and Apps and, knowing they are pretty careful, but that small children accidently scratch and damage expensive items without meaning to (the image of a small toddler throwing a very expensive phone into a swimming pool comes to my mind here!), I decided it was worth the extra cost.
On the plus side it does fit the screen exactly. The product comes with three screen protectors and there is a good instruction booklet and online instructions/video should you decide you need them. If you can live without this, or are happy to buy a cheaper anti scratch screen for another product which will do the job, then that will be fine. If you want, or decide you need, the extra protection and peace of mind then at least this is another option - albeit a more expensive one. I am sure there are other products out there that will do the job as long as adults only are using the product and it won't be peeled away - once fitted, this is certainly snug and safe and will stop scratches marring your reading/viewing experience.

After being annoyed by fingerprints on the screen and getting worried about scratches this product was just what I wanted. ( I also got myself a stylus).
Applying it was straight forward, but I can see it is important to follow the instructions closely. Because I was concerned about getting it right and that you possibly only got one shot at it (I don't think it will work very well if you take it off and try to put it down again) I read the instructions and followed them step by step, it only took a few minutes. It's been on now for several weeks and you wouldn't even know it is there.

I do not understand why it has two holes at the top when there is only one on the HD required (as far as I can tell), but worst was the tab on the top did not peel off and I had to scrape it off leaving scraps of the tab and glue, which I guess I will have to get off using some soapy water

I do not usually review products, however in the case of the 3 pack screen protector, I am making an exception because of the poor reviews at the time I ordered it. Because of the difficulties some customers had in applying the protector, I fully expected to have problems as I can get bubbles in sticky labels! It seemed somewhat odd to be removing the first layer from underneath the item but it quickly became very obvious that this was the only way to be able to begin to stick it in the first corner. It took me about three attempts to get that first corner lined up. I then removed the rest of the first layer (from underneath) and the protector quickly flopped onto the screen. I hadn't intended for this to happen, thinking I would smooth it on gradually. However to my surprise there were very few bubbles and I was able to remove these with firm application of the plastic tool. Only then did I remove the second layer without problem. I have warm hands which can be quite moist and quickly discovered that I accumulated greasy finger prints all over the protected screen. I discovered that a Vivanco liquid screen cleaner which I had puchased dealt with these without any apparent damage to the protector. I have now purchased a stylus to minimise contact with the screen. Amazon: How about a screen protector cleaner for those greasy fingerprints?
