I bought these in over a year ago and although I was initially a little concerned that these might break - especially as they were banged hard on every surface by an excited child - they have proved to be extremely sturdy. Well worth every penny and still going strong.

The product itself is great. However, I have bought one for a friends son's birthday and hoped that I would be able to have the other pair I ordered for my Son, but alas, there was no choice and the others were pink.

My little boy has had these from about 8 months. He loves them. Really pretty and robust. We are getting a lot of use out of them. Definitely a good buy!

My daughter still loves these years later and they are still as good as new and will be handed down. Great quality and robust.

These Maracas are beautiful - kids love them, they are nice to play- don't have a horrid shaker sound!! Look great, and the paint doesn't chip easily!! Love them!

I bought these maracas for my little boy and like them a lot, they are very well made and painted. However, the photo is misleading in that you get just one pair and no choice is offered you as to colours. I'm just glad I got the yellow ones and not the pink!

We bough these for baby we thought maracas would have more longevity than a rattle as they could be used for years to come without seeming babyish.

They are quite light to hold for little hands and make a satisfying rattle, they seem sturdy and well made. My only gripe is that the ones we were sent are a darker blue, with smaller spots than on the photo so they aren't quite so pretty.

However this doesn't affect their functionality - baby loves daddy singing songs and shaking them, and can give a good rattle herself. They do suggest 36 months plus but as baby is always supervised we do not see this as a problem.

I bought these for my 4 month old daughter as the previous reviews had stated that they were great for babies. However, when they arrived the label stated that they were not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. I'm not sure if this means the paint could chip or that the whole thing could come apart. I haven't had them long enough to be sure how durable they are but they seem well made. My little girl does seem to really like them so I'll keep them for supervised play.

We were bought these for my daughters 1st birthday. Day 2 and the maraca is in 2 and there are ball bearings flying all over the floor which she's then trying to eat. Now I do realise that they are recommended for 3 years and up, but a lot of the other reviews mention that they are great for babies - not sure I agree. The glue did not hold the maraca together when it was banged on plastic. They are very pretty, but you get what you pay for - beware with little babies, you may want to reglue the halves with stronger glue, or possibly just avoid and certainly always supervise. Such a shame, otherwise a lovely toy.
