3.0 out of 5 stars dissappointing
Although the book appears to be by Carol Vorderman, (one of the reasons I purchased it) Her name is not listed as the AUTHOR in the back of the book!! the book is written by Holly Beaumont. It seems Carol's name only appears on the front cover for advertising purpose. Even being linked to Carol, I expected so much more!!

I bought this for my Grandaughter who also was not impressed, 'There's nothing NEW to help me in this book but the calculator on the front was quite fun' she said. After reading it cover to cover when it arrived, she has not shown interest since.
I think this book is aimed at children who are only just beginning to learn tables, the presentation and tips seem more appropriate for this age group.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good concept spoilt by poor production, 27 Nov 2012

I bought this for my son as an aid for learning to his tables. There is an owl on the cover whose eyes show numbers, controlled by wheels on the top and side of the book cover. The idea is that you turn each wheel to show, for instance, 2 x 3, but the slot where the answer is revealed has been incorrectly cut and doesn't show the answer. unfortunately I've left it too late to send it back, but is a tool it is a waste of money.
