5.0 out of 5 stars A great place to start
This book makes no assumptions. Easy to follow and dip in and out of. Written with thought realism and humour. I recommend this to the curious - it makes Tai Chi accessible to all!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for theory
Great for the theory of Tai Chi., the downside is the diagrams, there are not enough of them, and they seem to "skip" steps, so you end up with a diagram of a "move" without really knowing how you got there.
Not bad reading, and certainly great as part of a "Tai Chi Collection", but not good enough on its own as a learning tool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read, 27 July 2009

This book is very easy to read, and dip in and out of. If you're looking for a simple, lighthearted introduction to the world of Tai Chi then I would recommend this book. It gives you enough of an insight into the history and principles of Tai Chi, without bombarding you. It also contains many step by step diagrams on various movements. But i would recommend buying a DVD or going to a class as well as reading this book.

Very readable book. I have tried to plough my way through several other books on Tai Chi and have give up before half way, but this one is at my level! Easy to read, good humoured, lots of tips and hints and is easy to dip in and out of (sorry about the bad grammer!). This book is perfect for this dummy!
