I also love films and make short films with a group of friends. We call ourselves Shipshape Productions. Films we've made so far are: 'Janek's Life' and 'Legs Eleven'. The last film we made was a horror film last October for a competition. The whole film had to be planned, shot and edited within 48 hours.
My taste in films is as varied as my tastes in reading and favourites include: Resevoir Dogs, Lost in Translation, Amelie, Fargo and Desperately Searching for Susan.

As an author myself, I love books. My first book to be published is a children's book for the 5 to 8 age range, so for children in the 'Horrid Henry' books readership age-range. But I also write books for adults.
My own taste in fiction is very wide ranging, from Margaret Atwood to Haruki Murakami. And from Daphne Du Maurier to Louis de Bernieres. The last book I finished reading was 'Lucky Dog' by Mark Barrowcliffe, which I really enjoyed. At the moment I'm in the middle of 'The Secret of Lost Things' by Sheridan Hay and next on the list is 'Two Caravans' by Marina Lewycka.
I'll stop there on the subject of books or I'll go on forever!

This is a lovely, wise little story. Readers will adore the character of Humphrey the hamster. The story has lots of great touches, 'Humphrey's Guide to the Care and Feeding of Humans' (at the back of the book), being just one of them.
