Book Description

6 May 2013
In her bestselling book Slave Girl, Sarah Forsyth told of her terrible ordeal as a young woman sex-trafficked from England to the Red Light District of Amsterdam - and of her dramatic escape from forced prostitution. But Sarah's journey from the dark back into light was far from over. Still addicted to drugs and drink, she struggled to cope with life, with love and with the marriage she desperately hoped would bring her happiness. It would take three more long and painful years to be rid of the terrible after-effects of sex slavery. But as she fought her draining battle to survive, Sarah came to realise that there was something she needed to do. It was a decision that would take her back into the modern scandal of sex trafficking - and back into the hell of Amsterdam's Red Light District. Now Sarah tells the incredible story of her very personal mental journey to find goodness within herself - and the shocking and painful physical journey to find the sex slaves she left behind. Both are journeys which will take all the strength, courage and love that she has. But if she is to survive, they are journeys she must make.

4.0 out of 5 stars :) 6 Aug 2013

I bought this book as I have read the first one. I was keen to find out what happened to Sarah. I'm so pleased she has arrived at a good place after being trapped in a hell for so long. Like other reviews have Said, there are a lot of statistics but I still read on until the end. Recommended if you've read the first one.

4.0 out of 5 stars "oh" 29 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this immediately after finishing the first book (which i couldn't put down and finished in one day) as i wanted to see what happened next both to Sarah and the "industry" - I only live about 10 miles from her so there was that local aspect for me, how could this happen on my doorstep? i thought it was meant to happen in Africa. I also know Amsterdam quite well. I finished this book in much the same way - 1 day later. Very informative and some decent research into the statistics which has certainly made me think about it.
My next trip to Amsterdam will be different if i'm walking past the windows. My only gripe about the book is the annoying use of "oh" so much. By this i mean there are frequent double ups to force home the point, for example: "..but i did, oh i did", "..and then gradually, oh so gradually", "she was brave...oh so brave"..you see what im getting at. Now I know this could be Sarahs way of talking and has simply been put in the book and if so, it is not meant as an attack! This is just me and no-one else may think the same, oh yes the same!

I bought this book straightaway as I wanted to know what happened to Sarah in her life. Yes you do Find out great! But for me this book was to much facts and figures and I'm afraid to say I skipped a lot of pages.
