G-Star RAW Denim was created in 1989, with a strong philosophy of focusing on 'just the product'. The brand successfully clashed luxury denim with street edginess and consequently created a new sector in denim. Architectural lines and three-dimensional vision allowed for entirely unique denim construction. All of a sudden, untreated denim could be seen not just as wearable, but as a desired material.

G-Star Raw's attention to treatments is an important step of the process of bringing a garment to life. From raw, unwashed denim through to deep indigo-dyed denim, and at the other end of the spectrum, extreme bleached denim, G-Star Raw knows that the treatment of denim creates distinctive, textured garments with soul.

While denim is the brand's key focus, G-Star Raw also knows the importance of 'setting off' their denim styles with complementary pieces. As a result, the brand also produces a full range of jackets, dresses, knits, shirts, skirts and accessories to complete the look with a juxtaposition of textures and silhouettes.
