As I purchased my 1st camera recently (Canon 60D) I wanted to make sure I pick up a sturdy tripod and one that is easy to carry and travel with. I also wanted a ball head for complete freedom of movement as I take pictures of Jewellery for my website and am very fussy on the position. The lock mechanism that clamps the ball is very strong and was able to keep my Canon camera with lens in perfect position without slipping. The clamps on the legs are strong and easy to adjust, there is even a little tool to adjust the little bolt if necessary. The rotation of the head is amazingly smooth & even has markings to remember positioning. I highly recommend for a no frills ease of use accessory and especially if its your first tripod!

Really well put together tripod, surprisingly sturdy for the weight, the only thing is the ball head is a bit on the light side. I would recommend purchasing one with a better locking system.

It was bought as a Christmas Present but it wasn't what the recipient wanted although he said it was good he wanted another make to go with his camera so alas it was returned
