I loved this book and have since read the next one in line! Tomorrow I am heading out to get the newest one - Tea Time Tales which I am sure will be done by the end of the day. I like Maureens writing style and have tried to get along to the local book signings to find out more about her. I live in Dundee so this was great for allow me to understand more about what used to go on in Dundee and how life was during those years is fascinating to me. A must read x

I have now read the three books by Maureen Reynolds. The Sunday girls being the first one. This is the first time I have read books by this author. The Sunday Girls was such an enjoyable read that I then bought the following two books. They were so good I finished them over a week-end, I could not put them down. I hope there are more to come like this?

Loved this book, it was so heart warming and made you realise how hard life must have been in Dundee then.
This is the first in the trilogy, can't wait for the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A story highlighting one family's fight against poverty and lack of work following the first war inter mingled with the kindness of a wealthy family who help ease some of their day to day strives. An easy to read book and well told story. I look forward to reading more from this author.
