I was quite indecisive about buying this or another dock that had also had been positively reviewed. I chose this one because it looked a little more sturdy. I was a bit wary because it wasn't obvious how long the cord was and was pleased to find it's the best part of a meter long. The only downside to the dock is that I'll have to remove the ipad from the case as it won't fit when it's on. But good value for money.

This is an excellent iPad stand. I use it at night to recharge my iPad and play music, display a clock, etc.

This dock will only charge the ipad through a computer and not through the official apple ipad USB to mains charger; it therefor renders it to being of very limited use.
The stand is inadequate to properly cope with the size and weight of the ipad 2 and is wobbly in use.
A lesson for me indeed.
IT'S TRULY NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

Perfect Stand for charging and connecting to your Mac or PC it just does the job with minimum desktop footprint.

Perfect accessory for the ipad2, charger and stand in one, easy to use the touch screen while stood. Excellent value for money.

Overall I am happy with the speed of delivery and the feel of the stand however I thought it worth pointing out the following for any other potential buyers...

- The device has a blue LED on the front to show that there is power. As is typical of blue LEDs this can be very distracting. So much so that I unfortunately can't use it on my desk where I wanted and have instead put it in the bedroom... however, I've not seen if that will be an issue for night time which I expect it will be. A small bit of tape over the light may help but would make it look a little tatty. It would be nice if there was a way to disable it and I fear that I will end up not using this stand.

- One of the rubber feed appears to be a fraction shallower than the other 3, or the device is slightly warped. This means that there is a very slight 'rock' on the stand. This is mainly noticeable when pushing towards the top of the iPad screen.

- The covering / finish is nice and looks good. I don't expect it to attract much dust.

For me, the blue LED is the killer here and it's a shame as it's otherwise a very very nice stand.
