Crops offer vital food source
Sorghum
Though not as well-known as wheat or soybeans, sorghum is nonetheless an important crop in many parts of the world. Grown in warmer climates, it is native to tropical and subtropical regions of all continents. Here in Nyala, Sudan, a local farmer harvests sorghum produced from seeds donated by the UNs FAO through the 'Improving Seeds' project.
