I have added a ton of Plan toys to my toddler's holiday wish list because of our positive experience with this item. MUCH better than Melissa & Doug items...no paint or labels to chip/peel off.
I bake a lot...bread every other day...so these have been great for my 2-year old to role-play baking with me. They have been on vacation with us twice, in the kiddie pool, all over the house, and still look brand-new.
I especially love that the tines of the whisk are made with string....doesn't bother the kis at all, but they are not benable or ruinable! And the rolling pin really rolls!

My three-year-old daughter picked this out as a birthday gift for my two-year-old son. They were both very excited about the items at the time, but they don't use them as often as I would have thought. They like to cook together in their play kitchen, but they are more likely to go pick out a whisk, measuring spoons, or spatula from our real kitchen than use these play ones. They do use them on occasion, but they use stuff from the real kitchen about three times as often.
I'd still give these five stars, though, because they are very durable and also because they make great baby toys! Of course that's not what we bought them for, but my seven-month old son has really enjoyed playing with and chewing on the whisk and spoons out of this set. They are quite durable... no signs of wear yet... and they're cheaper than buying other kinds of non-toxic wooden teething toys. I really like that my youngest can play with these now and will also be able to as he gets older. I'd say that they'd be a good gift for any child from zero to five.
