Artist Stores: Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is an Artist Store?

Answer: An Artist Store is a page where you can find information relating to a particular artist. You can shop for CDs or MP3s, read biographies, see pictures and chat with other fans in a dedicated forum; you can even watch videos and listen to songs, where available.

Question: Where can I find Artist Stores?

Answer: When you search for an artist at Amazon.co.uk, you should find a link to the related Artist Store in or above the search results. You can also click on an artist's name to be taken directly to their Artist Store, if they have one.

Question: I clicked on an artist name, but the link didn't take me to the Artist Store, only to search results in Music--why?

Answer: If you click an artist's name and don't see an Artist Store, just let us know. We're working all the time to add new Artist Stores to our catalogue, and build the most comprehensive artist discographies. We welcome your feedback should you encounter any problems.

Question: Why isn't music from my favourite artist/band available for download?

Answer: Our ability to offer music to you in MP3 format is limited by the rights granted to us by the record companies. Currently, not all record companies grant us a license to sell their music for download in MP3 format. We're constantly working to establish and improve our agreements with record companies so we can offer a complete selection of music downloads in MP3. We do expand our selection frequently and encourage you to check back for new additions to our catalogue.

Question: I've spotted incorrect information in an Artist Store--how can I get this fixed?

Answer: Fill in our feedback form and let us know.
