The unit is well built, quality designed, and is comfortable. If you have the commitment to use it daily, you'll see the results. The buzzing sensation is easily adjusted, doesn't hurt. Overall, I'm thrilled with this product. Be advised that the Gel Pads will need replacing over time.

Took a bit of gettting used to and it does need to be turned up to really work, but once you get going you can really feel the results. I have seen some result after about a week. Got it working within minutes of getting it out the box, but read the instructions well before you use it (unlike me) otherwise you might have it positioned it incorrectly for the first few. s

Jean-Cyrille. Have you actually tried this product? Because you seem pretty skeptical to begin with ("like all similar products"). I actually exercise quite a bit (and eat sensibly) but after about fours years of various exercise and classes unsuccessfully trying to improve my abs, I was recommended this product. It worked wonders. As someone has already said you have to have commitment. My wife gave up using hers after a few days. However I kept using mine and although my stomach is far from perfect, it's much flatter and my abs are actually visible for the first time in my life. I also find it a lot easier now to keep my abs tight during normal crunches in the gym. I think what really needs to be emphasized is that the main purpose of this product is to build muscle(those that are hard to build through normal exercise routines) rather than to magically make fat disappear. I recommend using it while have a walk.
