For Schools

A range of engaging educational programs are available for school students in years Prep-12. These programs, along with a variety of online resources, are developed by the Library's Education Team and the Centre for Youth Literature.

Reading

Focusing on the critical connection between literacy and reading for pleasure, this events-based program aims to encourage reading among young people.

Curriculum-based programs

These activities and workshops are linked to the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and VCE curricula. They allow students to engage with the Library's impressive collections through permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Orientation tours for all year levels and research skills workshops for senior students are available for school groups. Most of the programs are offered 'on demand' from 10am on school days, subject to availability.
