(01-17) 17:24 PST CONCORD --
A 52-year-old woman trying to pull her dog out of a Concord street was killed when she was hit by two cars, one of which drove away, police said.
Sherree Lindborg of Concord stepped onto Solano Way near Avon Avenue about 5:50 p.m. Sunday, apparently after her dog got into the street, police Sgt. Jeff Crump said. She was hit by a car driven by a 17-year-old boy, who stopped to check on her, police said.
The woman was then hit by a second car, which drove off. The driver was described only as a white man, about 20 years old with brown hair. A woman was in the passenger seat.
Lindborg died at the scene. Her dog also was hit by at least one car and was killed.
