Amber Alert - man, boy possibly headed to San Jose

(01-18) 19:44 PST PATTERSON -- A 4-year-old boy was reported abducted Tuesday night from Patterson in Stanislaus County, leading to a statewide Amber Alert search for his alleged kidnapper, who was believed to be driving to San Jose.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, young Juliani Cardenas was reportedly taken by Jose Esteban Rodriguez, 27, who was last seen driving a silver Toyota Corolla, California license plate number 6HBW445, with oversize aluminum wheels.

Rodriquez was described as a 5-foot, 9-inch-tall Latino with black hair and brown eyes, weighing 180 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a white and black shirt, checkered shorts and a beanie.

Juliani is 3-foot, 6-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, weighing 40 pounds. He was last seen dressed in dark pants and a light blue shirt.

Information about the reported abduction is being flashed on freeway message boards across the state. Anyone with information can call the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department at (209) 380-6015.
