Kristina Nekyia will be among the performers at the Crucible benefit in Oakland this weekend marking the departure of its founder, Michael Sturtz.
The Crucible turns back the clock this weekend in celebration of Michael Sturtz. Sturtz is leaving the Oakland industrial arts facility that he founded in 1999, and to mark the departure, this 12th anniversary benefit features performers from past shows re-enacting some favorite bits as well as showcasing new works. Mark Growden serves as the master of ceremonies, and performers include Eric McFadden, fire performers from the Copper Lantern Fire Theater and many more. Proceeds benefit the Crucible's arts education programs.
