Crime scene investigators work at the scene of a shooting on Folsom and 16th Streets. A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded this morning while getting off a Muni bus in the Mission District, police said.

(01-18) 17:05 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Hayward on Tuesday, hours after he allegedly opened fire on two men near a bus stop in the Mission District and wounded one of them.

A 22-year-old San Francisco man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the 9:40 a.m. shooting at 16th and Folsom streets, police said.

Police said the suspect and two other teenagers got into an argument with the victim and his 18-year-old friend shortly after the two stepped off a Muni bus.

Witnesses said the suspect had fired wildly as the men ran away. Police found bullet holes in garage doors and parked cars.

The alleged shooter's name was not released because he is a minor. He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm.
