Prosecutors are expected to wrap up their case against an Air Force sergeant accused of not telling multiple sexual partners of his HIV-status.
Court martial proceedings for Tech. Sgt. David Gutierrez resume Wednesday at McConnell Air Force base at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. A physician who specializes in treating HIV-positive patients is expected to be the last witness for prosecutors.
Several people who participated in swinger and partner-swapping events with Gutierrez and his wife have testified they never would have had sex with him had he told them he was HIV-positive.
The airman is charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault — one count for each sexual partner — and with violating his squadron commander's order to notify partners about his HIV status and use condoms.
