No other dining experience captures the retro feel of a supper club as well as Bix. It's also one of the few restaurants that offer live jazz nightly. The location, on a narrow alley-like street in the shadows of the Transamerica Pyramid, helps to promote the speakeasy vibe. The interior offers a stunning Deco-inspired decor, including a dining mezzanine supported by ornate columns. Professional bartenders serve up classic cocktails behind the long bar while chef Bruce Hill, who also owns Picco in Larkspur, adds a modern touch to familiar American dishes, including chicken hash that has been on the menu more than 20 years.
