Quince isn't the only fine dining restaurant growing a downscale offshoot. In the Mission.

Saison - fresh off its first Michelin star - has spawned Dcantr, a wine bar that takes over Stable Cafe in the evening hours.

The Saison duo of chef Joshua Skenes and wine guy Mark Bright are offering a small selection of wines and beers and, for those who don't want to commit to the $95 menu at Saison next door, a la carte food selections, too ($8-$28).

Dcantr: 2124 Folsom St. (near 17th Street), San Francisco; 415-828-7990 or saisonsf.com. Dinner Tuesday - Saturday.
