Exceptional pizza and well-crafted cocktails are a winning combination perfected by Ruggero Gadaldi, who also owns Antica and Pesce, with his partners. The kitchen also produces a stellar line up of antipasti and four flawless risottos. Specials rotate: On Monday, it is braised hock with polenta and cavolo nero, Wednesday is pork saltimbocca, and Friday's the day for exceptional cioppino. The interior has a cool Mission vibe, but the fresh citrus on the bar and the smell of baking crust let you know the kitchen is serious.

 
Specialties: Pizza with burrata; meatballs in spicy tomato sauce; arugula, fennel and shaved Parmesan salad; risotto, including porcini with Barbera; house-made gelato; baba au rum with panna gelato.
