4.1 quake near San Jose rattles Bay Area

A moderate earthquake rattled the Bay Area this afternoon. The 4.1-magnitude quake struck at 4:10 p.m. with an epicenter 13 miles southeast of downtown San Jose, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It struck on the Calaveras Fault line and had a depth of 4.4 miles. The quake was followed by an aftershock of magnitude 2.6.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
