Griffith Observatory
Still one of my favorite places to go on a late Friday afternoon. Be careful if you use GPS. It sends you about 3 miles off. Get there late afternoon to catch day/evening views of L.A.~df
Mulberry Street Pizza
Best New York style pizza in L.A. There is really no difference in the location in Beverly Hills or Sherman Oaks as far as the pizza is concerned. Take out is best unless you want to walk the shops.
Marmalade Cafe Malibu
Excellent place to go after a movie or a day at the beach. Feel instantly at home! Perfectly prepared: Chicken Parmesan w/pasta. Walking distance to great coffee and shops too. BTW Staff is A++
Golden Oak Ranch
Great historical TV/Movie location. Several very familiar sets are still there from classic TV like the Little House on the Prairie bridge,etc. Some newer stuff too. It's like going back in time.
Placerita Canyon Natural Area
One of my favorite places for a quick hike. It's got a rich area history. Also, it is right next to Disney Golden Oak Ranch where Ole Yeller, Little House and a tons of classics/currents were filmed.
