Lost Ray Charles & Johnny Cash duet found in storage

A lost duet between late legends Ray Charles and Johnny Cash has been found in storage.

The duo recorded Kris Kristofferson song "Why Me, Lord?" in 1981 but the track was never released in any form.

The existence of the tape only came to light when Valerie Ervin, the president of the Ray Charles Foundation, came across letters written to Charles by Cash, in which the country legend recalled the recording.

In one of the letters Cash hints about releasing the record and splitting the royalties.

Ervin then turned detective in an effort to track down the lost tape and found it at a storage facility in New York.

"Why Me, Lord?" appears on a new collection of Charles' songs, titled Rare Genius: The Undiscovered Masters.

'Bleeding Love' is most romantic song

Leona Lewis' hit track "Bleeding Love" has been voted the most popular love song of all time in a new poll.

The single saw off competition from Whitney Houston's 1992 version of "I Will Always Love You" and Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," which scored second and third places respectively.

The Valentine's Day survey by PRS For Music also compiled a list of anti-love songs ahead of the romantic occasion, putting Katy Perry's 2008 hit "Hot n Cold" in first place. "Survivor" by Destiny's Child was second and U2's ballad "With Or Without You" came in third.

Court says '80s Men at Work hit 'Down Under' copies kids' song

Australian band Men at Work copied a well-known children's campfire song for the flute melody in its 1980s hit "Down Under" and owes the owner years of royalties, a court ruled Thursday.

"Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree" was written more than 70 years ago by Australian teacher Marion Sinclair for a Girl Guides competition, and the song has been a favorite around campfires from New Zealand to Canada.

The teacher died in 1988, and publishing company Larrikin Music owns the copyright to her song about the native Australian bird. Larrikin filed the copyright lawsuit last year.

Stars gather at fabled studio to re-record 'We Are The World'

Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie's revamped "We Are The World" recording session is taking place at the same Los Angeles recording studio where the original tune was recorded 25 years ago.

Stars like Akon, Jason Mraz, Bono, Wyclef Jean, Usher and Lady Gaga are expected to flood the historic A&M; complex in Hollywood on Monday night to re-record the charity anthem.

The new song will benefit the aid relief in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

Stars like Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Bruce Springsteen and Diana Ross originally joined songwriters Richie and Michael Jackson and producer Jones in the studio on January 28, 1985 to record the track.

That record raised more than $30 million for USA for Africa, a nonprofit organization founded by the singers to fund hunger relief in Africa.

Former Eurythmics star Annie Lennox shocked fans at a New York charity gig when she gave the audience the finger.

The singer was less than impressed with her reception at a UNICEF benefit on Tuesday and called the crowd "rude," before executing the rude gesture.

A witness tells the New York Post's Page Six, "She got ticked, finished the song, then sarcastically said, 'Thank you for listening' and gave them the finger.

"She said everyone was loud and rude and they should have their five mojitos and 'go see KC and the Sunshine Band if you want to act that way.'"

Winehouse Defends MTV EMAs Performance

Amy Winehouse has defended her performance at Thursday's MTV European Music Awards -- citing exhaustion for her bizarre behavior.

The troubled star -- who won the Artist's Choice award -- mumbled through a performance of hit "Back To Black" at the ceremony in Munich, Germany, and appeared to have forgotten the song's lyrics.

But Winehouse insists her busy schedule was to blame for her lackluster performance, after beginning a 27-date European tour last month.

She also admits she only agreed to appear at the EMAs to please her family.

Winehouse says, "I can't really be bothered going to perform but my family love these kinds of awards shows and watching me, so I'm doing it for them really.

"I'm knackered after my own gigs in Europe and was back in London chilling out when I got the call asking me to MTV.

"My family are so important to me that I agreed to do it for them."

Also, the British singer has confirmed she'll appeal a $714 fine on marijuana possession charges in Norway -- because she didn't understand that accepting a fine is the same as pleading guilty in the Scandinavian country.

The star and husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested in Norway last month on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

The 24-year-old was issued with a fine, which she accepted, not realizing that she would have been wiser to turn it down.

Sources claim the incident may have thrown a possible American tour into doubt as strict U.S. regulations prevent anyone who has faced legal charges or been questioned by police overseas from entering the country.

Winehouse's Norwegian lawyer Oleg Kvelstad has now confirmed she is appealing the fine.

Kvelstad says, "This is an appeal of errors police made in the case."

Prince Sued for $1 Million

Reuters / Gary Hershorn, 2004

Pop superstar Prince has been named in a $1 million lawsuit after allegedly failing to pay computer goods worth $12,000.

Ian Lewis filed the lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, claiming the "Purple Rain" hitmaker breached a contract by taking "several hard drives used for video production" and not paying for them.

He further claims the singer returned a loaned $25,000 computer "in a broken and un-fixable condition."

Lewis is seeking $1 million damages.

A spokesman for Prince was unavailable for comment.
