Having Problems Logging In Or Signing Up ?

If you have already signed up and did not receive your welcome email for some reason please give it 5 minutes and then check your junk mail settings and if all else fails use the Forgot Password option to have a password sent out to you.

You should receive your password within moments of filling in the registration form but sometimes problems can occur.

Here are a few things that may have gone wrong

• Problem : You used a bad email address
  Solution : Sign up again with a better email address
  
  
• Problem : Your welcome email and password never arrived
  Solution : If you use HOTMAIL, YAHOO, AOL etc there is every chance that the welcome email found its way to your junk mailbox, Check your junk mail box, check your spam filter, request a new password
  
  
• Problem : During registration it says my email address is not unique
  Solution : You must have signed up before or have been in our old mail list. Get your password here
  
  
• Problem : During registration it says my name is not unique
  Solution : Try another name or variation. We do flush the database of dead accounts so it may become available later. Edit your profile later and try again

Without a VALID email address you WILL NOT receive your log in password and WILL NOT be able to download anything

Why Do We Have To Register To Download The Loops ?

We decided to make people register in order to download loops and samples in order to have greater control over what happens on looperman. Membership is FREE and helps us stop people spamming the message boards, stops hot linking of files, allows us to create a members uploads area so that there are always fresh loops and many other positive benefits.

How Do I Preview The Loops

All the loop previews are now saved as mp3 files and play via the built in flash mp3 player. You may notice that the loops don't loop so well in the previews, this is down to the way mp3 files stream. The actual wav files that you download will loop properly. If the wav file does not match the preview or does not loop right let us know.

How Can I add My Own Loops ?

Looperman is all about sharing so if you have made some loops yourself then you can add them via your members area. Once you have logged in click the "My Account" tab at the top of the page and then find the loops tab. Once your in the loops section you should see a link saying "Upload New Loops" . Click that and then you'll see the form that allows you to upload. Be sure to read the upload guidelines and only upload files that are appropriate. The basic rule is.. If you did not create the loop yourself, do not upload it. Sampling a loop from a record and then adding fx does not make the sample yours. You are responsible for your uploads and any member uploading illegal loops will be banned and may face legal action from the copyright owner.

How Can I add My Own Links ?

Members may add links to their other websites or online profiles via the links section in your members area. When you add your link you will be sent to a page where you will be able to copy and paste a special bit of code into your own websites that will track the amount of referrals you send back to looperman. All links are ordered by the amount of hits you send back to us. Basically the more referrals you send back to us the better your link will be placed. If you do not add our link on your site the world will not end but you are not doing anything to help us so your link will only appear on your profile page and not in the main links directory and so will not get as much exposure.

If you already have a link listed on looperman and wish to edit it and its not listed in your links section of your profile page email us and we'll reunite you.

How Can I upload my own tracks ?

Members may add their own tracks via the tracks section in your members area. Please read the guidelines for uploading tracks on the upload tracks page. Again please refrain from uploading anything that you do not own the copyright to. All members upload actions are logged and you accept

How Do I Get People To Review My Tracks

The best way to get people to review your tracks is to get involved. By that I mean take the time to review other peoples tracks. By reviewing other peoples tracks you will notice that your tracks will then appear in the Featured Tracks area on the top left of the site. The way this works is that each time the page loads we search the database and choose at random a member who has in the last two weeks reviewed a track. We then, again at random choose one of their tracks to feature. Once you become known in the comunity youll find that people keep an eye on your profile and will happily review your new stuff.

How Can I add My Own Plugins and Fx ?

If you have created your own vsti's or plugins then you may request the ability to upload them to looperman.com. Again you must own the copyright and be happy for your files to be used for free. Should you wish to add plugins and fx that would be for sale get in touch and we can work it out

Are the loops here copyright free ?

The rules of looperman are pretty simple.. When uploading loops to the site you must own the copyright (eg you created the loop and didn't sample it from somewhere else) and you allow anyone to then download and use your loops in their own projects royalty free. Although we can not be 110% sure that everyone follows the rules to the letter we do our best to vet any loops uploaded and encourage our members to report anything that they feel may be a problem. So, back to the original question .. Are the loops on looperman.com royalty free ? basically yes although we do ask that you give credit where its due. This does not have to be by paying anything but simply by crediting the author of any loops you may have used and also looperman.com. This is not compulsory but more a good will gesture. If you do end up making millions then it would not be a bad thing to pass on a donation too but that's up to you.

Although you may use the loops and samples on looperman.com in your projects royalty free there are situations where by you may not use them. These are as follows.

• You are not allowed to include the files as part of a sample cd that you either offer for sale or for free
• You may not post files to your own or any other website for others to download
• You may not distribute them via any file sharing system or torrent site.
• You may not claim copyright of any file that is not your own

Are the tracks here copyright free ?

NO ... All tracks uploaded to looperman.com remain the property of the person who made them. Should you wish to use a track you find on looperman.com in some way you must contact the person who wrote the track and seek permission. In most cases you would be expected to pay some sort of licence fee to use someone's track but this situation is unique to every member and is something you must come to an agreement to between you. Looperman.com will play no part in negotiations regards members tracks. We are not a record label.

Can I have more then one account ?

No, one account each only please. Anyone found with more then one account will have the newest one deleted and may even have the old one deleted too.

A member of looperman is causing problems ?

Another basic rule of looperman.com is "treat everyone with respect" If you feel a member is causing problems or is sending out spam mail etc then let us know. Please do not add to the problem by starting an argument in the forums or by sending abusive messages back to them. Any member who causes problems will be warned and if things are not resolved will be banned.

I found a copyright problem !!

If you think you have spotted a file that you feel breaks copyright law in some way then please contact us with details of who the file was uploaded by and the name of the file etc so that we can investigate further. We take copyright issues very seriously and will do what we can to work with anoyone that feels there may be a problem.

Certain parts of the site dont work as they should

More often then not the problem is due to the users individual setup. We use Firefox to browse the site and suggest you do the same. If however you do find a problem let us know via the bugs and problems section of the forum and remember to include any useful information such as the system your using. eg Pc / Mac, Firefox / Internet explorer / Safari , Windows Vista / Xp / Macos / Linux etc etc etc ...
