"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo has married her fiance Chris Ivery in a low-key ceremony in New York.

The actress wed record producer Ivery on Friday -- one day before her 38th birthday -- at Manhattan's City Hall, with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg serving as their witness, according to reports.

A spokeswoman for Pompeo says, "They are over the moon."

And the nuptials were so secret, Pompeo's own father only found out about the wedding when she phoned home after the ceremony had taken place.

But Joseph Pompeo insists he isn't upset by his daughter's decision.

He tells People.com, "I'm very happy for her."

Asked why the actress chose to marry on that particular date, he replied, "(I have) no idea. You'll have to ask her. She just didn't want a big thing."

The couple became engaged last November after dating for three years.

Edmonds Wants 'Casual' Wedding

Eddie Murphy and his fiancee Tracey Edmonds are shunning plans for a big celebrity wedding -- they want to have a "small, casual" ceremony instead.

Edmonds, 40, divorced singer/songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds in June 2007 -- and she insists there will be no repeat her lavish 1992 wedding ceremony when she exchanges vows with the 46-year-old funnyman.

And she admits all the stress of planning her nuptials for the end of the year has only brought her closer to the "Beverly Hills Cop" star.

She tells People.com, "We both have the same idea of what we want. We want to make it fun and casual -- small."

"We keep checking in with each other. Like, 'What do you think about this?' So we're getting a little closer, figuring it all out. It'll come together really soon."

Edmonds Wants 'Overseas' Wedding

Eddie Murphy's wife-to-be has let it slip the couple are planning to wed "overseas."

The funnyman's fiancee, Tracey Edmonds, admits wedding plans are underway, but the film producer has no plans to repeat her lavish 1992 wedding ceremony when she and singer/songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds exchanged vows.

Edmonds tells the October issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine that she envisions "a very intimate ceremony," adding, "My bridal party would be much smaller than my first wedding."

But it will still be a costly affair if she gets her way -- because she's looking to become Mrs. Murphy in "a romantic, secluded spot outside the United States."

Murphy proposed to Edmonds in July, while the two were watching TV. She reveals he walked over to her casually, and then surprised her by getting on his knee.

She asked him what he was doing and he replied, "I'm about to ask you to marry me," before he presented her with a canary yellow square diamond, surrounded by two white diamonds in a platinum setting.

She recalls, "I was speechless for a moment when I first saw it." Modest Edmonds admits she has no idea how much her engagement ring cost her man.

Longoria Says She Wasn't a Bridezilla

The endless details were numbing, but Eva Longoria says she kept her cool at her wedding to Tony Parker last week. "My stylist, Robert Verdi, and everybody around me was like, 'You're so calm,'" Longoria tells OK! magazine in its latest issue, on newsstands Friday. "I actually don't stress about anything."

The 32-year-old "Desperate Housewives" actress and the 25-year-old NBA star wed in a civil ceremony in Paris last Friday. The following day, they exchanged vows in a church across from the Louvre Museum and held an exclusive reception at a storied French chateau.

"Every girl dreams of having a beautiful, romantic wedding," says Longoria. "It was amazing to see it unfold after months of planning. We really wanted to create an experience for our guests. It was about them having fun."

That list included fellow "Housewives" Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman and singer Sheryl Crow.

Parker, who was born in Belgium and raised in France, notes that Longoria chose the wedding destination.

"I didn't want to do it in Paris because we'd end up inviting more people than I wanted!" says Parker, eliciting laughs from Longoria.

Longoria also giggled during the wedding ceremony as she attempted to say her vows in French.

"She decided I would do the vows in English; hers would be in French," Parker explains. "There were some tough words. I'm very proud of her."

Longoria and Parker are featured on the cover and inside the pages of the magazine, which paid for its exclusive interviews. An OK! representative wouldn't disclose the terms of its deal with the couple to The Associated Press.

Couples who marry in France must take their vows at a city hall -- even if they are planning to have a church wedding as well. The ceremony was officiated by Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe.

The newly married pair are planning a second wedding on Saturday -- with the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerroix Church in Paris the likely location.
