No more big love for 'Big Love'

Hit drama "Big Love" is to wrap next spring after one final season on cable TV.

The acclaimed series, about a polygamous Mormon family in Utah and starring Bill Paxton and Chloe Sevigny, will return for its final episodes on January 16.

Announcing the news, series co-creator Will Scheffer says, "When we created Big Love in 2002, we had a strong conception of the journey the Henrickson family would make over the course of the series, of the story we had to tell.

"While we were in the writers' room this year shaping our fifth season, we discovered that we were approaching the culmination of that story."

Celebrity surgeon died after 'unsafe turning movement'

Detectives investigating the death of Hollywood plastic surgeon Frank Ryan have ruled out reports the doctor lost control of his car in Malibu, Calif., in August because he was driving while texting to his Twitter.com account.

The surgeon, who had worked on a series of stars including Heidi Montag, Janice Dickinson and Gene Simmons, died after driving his Jeep over a cliff while traveling back to his office after a hike with his dog.

His ex-girlfriend Charmaine Blake had suggested that Ryan was uploading a photo of his pet onto his Twitter site when he died, but a California Highway Patrol investigation has discovered evidence to the contrary.

A final report into the tragedy states that an "unsafe turning movement" led to Ryan drifting off a rocky embankment.

An official tells TMZ.com, "There was no evidence of any other contributing factors in the cause of this collision."

Parents group angered by 'Glee' stars' sexy GQ shoot

"Glee" Stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron have come under attack for taking part in a racy GQ magazine photo shoot, with angry activists at a TV parents group labeling the images borderline "pedophilia." (Click here for the racy shots)

The sexy cover for the men's magazine features Michele and Agron, both 24, dressed in skimpy outfits and posing provocatively with 28-year-old Monteith, who places his hands on the actress' bottoms.

Other pictures in the spread show the young beauties, who play high school students on the hit show, stripped down to their underwear.

But the shoot has infuriated activists from the Parents Television Council and they've taken aim at the trio for the "hyper-sexualized" magazine spread, reports TMZ.com.

In a statement, PTC campaigners say, "It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way. It borders on pedophilia.

"By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show’s direction. And it isn’t good for families."

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar storms out of TV mosque debate

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar stormed off the set of "The View" on Thursday after becoming infuriated during a heated debate over the planned "Ground Zero Mosque" in New York.

A discussion with conservative broadcaster Bill O'Reilly on "The View" spilled over when the controversial Fox News anchor argued against the Islamic center in downtown Manhattan.

The political pundit insisted it was highly insensitive to build the place of worship so close to where the city's Twin Towers crumbled in 2001, after Muslim extremists flew two planes into the high rise buildings, exclaiming, "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

But his outburst angered Goldberg and prompted the actress and co-host Behar to march out of the studio.

Their protest was criticized by fellow host and show producer Barbara Walters, who told the studio and television audience, "This should not happen. We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and walking off stage."

After several minutes, both Goldberg and Behar returned to the stage to continue the debate with O'Reilly.

'House' prop worker sues

TV bosses behind hit medical series 'House' are facing legal action from the show's former assistant prop master who alleges he was fired for refusing to partake in debauched antics with his co-workers.

Carl Jones, who was dismissed from his role on the program in March, has filed papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming he lost his job because he wasn't willing to join in with the "degenerate conduct" of his superiors.

He alleges the bad behavior included visits to strip clubs, drug taking and various sexual escapades.

An extract from the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com, reads, "(The) degenerate conduct (included) visits to strip bars, participation in getting drunk, stoned or intoxicated on cocaine, to participate in sexual conduct at the trailer, and other dangerous conduct."

Jones also claims he saw his supervisors get drunk on tequila and engage in "throwing a knife at a target on set."

He claims his attempts to report the alleged misconduct were ignored by co-producers and he was ultimately "blackballed" from working on the show.

Jones is suing for $1 million in damages over claims he suffered depression and a physical injury as a result of the alleged incidents.

'Law & Order' canceled

Long-running cop show "Law & Order" has been canceled after 20 years.

Dick Wolf's highly-successful New York-based drama premiered in 1990 and went on to spawn two separate spin-offs - "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." A Los Angeles-based "Law & Order" is still being planned.

But the original has been scrapped.

TV executives at NBC have decided not to take the original format into it 21st season, confirming to E! Online that the show has been axed.

"Law & Order" has narrowly missed out on being crowned the longest-running TV drama in history - it is currently tied with western Gunsmoke, which ran for 20 season before its finale in 1975.

Sheen's co-star urges him not to quit 'Two And A Half Men'

Charlie Sheen's "Two And A Half Men" co-star Jennifer Taylor is urging the troubled actor not to quit the hit sitcom because they "don't have a show" without him.

Sheen has been mired in personal troubles since an alleged altercation with his wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day left him facing criminal charges. He subsequently halted production on his TV show by checking into rehab.

Last month the actor returned to work and wrapped the filming of season seven, but reports subsequently emerged suggesting he would not be returning for another series.

Sheen failed to silence the gossip by revealing he wouldn't be upset if he didn't reprise his role again, but Taylor, who plays Sheen's on/off onscreen girlfriend, is hoping he decides to continue because the show can't survive without him.

She tells E! News, "If we don't have Charlie, we don't have a show. I'm just hoping we're going to have a show. You know what? I think it's a toss-up (whether Sheen returns). I think Charlie would be at peace if he walked away, but I hope he won't.

"He was wonderful (to work with). He was always professional. He was always kind. All that stuff you hear in the press is not the Charlie I know."
