(11-23) 16:15 PST SAN LEANDRO -- Two 17-year-old boys from Hayward were arrested on suspicion of committing double murder in the aftermath of an October party at a San Leandro golf course that spun out of control.

San Leandro police did not release the names of the two, who were at Alameda County Juvenile Hall on unrelated charges at the time of their arrest Monday.

Nor did investigators discuss the circumstances around the shooting deaths of Maurius Robinson, 19, of Oakland and Kwame Nunn, 18, of Mountain House (San Joaquin County). Two other men were wounded but survived.

The killings occurred Oct. 9 at Wedges Grill at the Monarch Bay Golf Club in San Leandro. More than 100 young people were there when shots rang out at 9:45 p.m.

The restaurant had been rented by a man who gave a fake name and told owners he was holding a small event, police said. The promoter later admitted that he wanted to avoid the expense of getting permits. He has not been charged.
