E3 2010: Child of Eden 'better than Rez 2'

Q Entertainment bigs up its spiritual sequel
Just-announced Move and Kinect game, Child of Eden is 'better than Rez 2', says developer Q Entertainment.

The spiritual sequel to Tetsuya Mizuguchi's acclaimed music game was revealed at Ubisoft's E3 conference yesterday. It looks like Rez 2, it sounds like Rez 2, but apparently it's even better.

"Did you guys watch the Ubi conference? What did you think of the opening act, Child of Eden? As I said, it's not Rez 2. It's better," Q wrote on its Twitter.

"Child of Eden supports Kinect. But it also supports normal controllers, too," the developer wrote. "So no one will be left out. Available for 360 and PS3."

You can watch the first trailer below. As Rez fans, we're excited.

there was a Rez 2?

Holy crap! I had no idea this was in the works. Rez was a masterpiece. I am now wearing a pair of milky jizz trousers, I might have to go home early today.

Fair play, this looks absolutely stunning. Most epic trailer I've seen in a long, long time. I'm gonna have to get it for use with Kinect.

Out of all the videos that ive seen from E3, this is the one that got me!!

This looks like it might justify the lofty price of Kinect (obviously not! but its close Wink ).

there was a Rez 2?

He's stating this game is better than churning out a sequel to Rez. I agree from the looks of it, looks awesome.

ahh i see

i loved Rez,i loved shooting things along with the beat...the beat ...the beat...damn,that beat was hypnotizing at times

The music sounded a bit like Lumines when it got going, but the way it built up was like Rez

The sound effects, enemies and method of shooting smacked strongly of Rez.

My question is... why doesn't it support Move? The more accurate of the two.

Browsing online today, it seems this title has done more for the Kinect than Microsoft's conference. Smile

Cool on-stage demo:- http://www.gamersyde.com/news_e3_child_of_eden_gameplay-9480_en.html

Thing is, will people be willing to pay equivalent of $149 in English pounds or whatever?

I don't think so.
