E3 2010: Nintendo to announce October 3DS release date today

Firm to unveil surprising early launch at E3
Remember when we told you that Nintendo was set to unveil an October release date for its 3DS? We've been told that the platform holder is going to make the big reveal today at E3.

Nintendo's E3 conference is due to kick off in under eight hours - which will be early morning in LA.

As well as 3DS, we're hopeful of seeing a Zelda Wii game and perhaps even a new Donkey Kong.

The 3DS will bring gamers 3D play on a portable system for the first time - and Nintendo promises that it will be a glasses-free experience.

I need to be convinced to buy this new DS nintendo, so convince me (thoug I'll probably just wait for the inevitable 3DS lite or XL, or 3DSi).

I cannot freeeeeakin' wait for Nintendo's conference. Also, if the 3DS comes out in October, I'll officially burst into little chunks & my Ma will not be happy with the mess.

I want a look at the luanch line-up before I say I'm getting this at launch (Mario Kart with WPA compatibility will have me sold though), however I absolutely cannot wait for Nintendos E3 conference, especially after the let down that Ms's was.
