Witcher 2 screenshots explosion

Namco Bandai picks up gorgeous sequel
Namco Bandai's signed up to publish The Witcher 2, and here's a crap-load of gorgeous screens to celebrate.

The PC follow-up features (in CD Projekt's words) "a thoroughly engrossing, mature storyline defining new standards for thought-provoking, non-linear game narration".

In addition to the story, the game features an all-new combat system and a pretty impressive game engine.

It looks fantastic. Expect it in shops Q1 2011.

The Witcher 1 was the most engrossing game that I recall playing back in 2007. Barring some absurd "anti-piracy" feature(s) this will be a near instant purchase for me upon release. A shame the first game console version wasn't released; the console-only gamers missed out on a fantastic, mature, dark action RPG in my opinion.
