Five more leave Infinity Ward

More senior staff depart from Modern Warfare studio
Five more members of the disaster-struck Infinity Ward studio have reportedly left, bringing the total up to at least 18, according to Kotaku.

Senior designers Mohammad Alavi, Chad Grenier and Brent McLeod, programmer Chris Lambert and designer Jason McCord have all departed, claims the report.

Seven ex-Infinity Ward employees recently defected to fired Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella's EA-backed studio, Respawn. It's not yet known if the latest run of departures will join the new studio although it would seem likely.

Activision recently admitted that more Infinity Ward employees will "probably" leave the studio - and may even join West/Zampella outfit Respawn.

"That's not over yet," he said social media manager, Dan Amrich of the IW departures. "More people will probably go too, looking for new situations."

Wow, you would think that they would have to pull the cleaning staff to help them make games.

Ok, I really don't care anymore! Let them crash and burn! Bring on Treyarch for a proper Call of Duty game!

Robert Bowling will be the only one left, ha ha!!!

Laughing Treyarch? You gone mad? Them idiots that destroyed the series? Now that a lot of IW staff have gone, I won't be buying another COD game unless Activision get hold of a GOOD Dev Team, f**k me Treyarch couldn't make a good game even if the everything was almost finished for them.
They still f**k it up then Rolling Eyes

Infinity Ward is quickly becoming Finite Ward Laughing

As for the next COD/MW game, I wouldn't slavishly buy or not buy a game just because it was made by a particular studio. I prefer to judge it on it's own merits (and the CVG review of course Wink )

Finally played got and played through CoD4 on the PC for £9.99 on Steam. I know loads of the appeal is the MP (which is chock full of dicks as far as I can see), but I really dont get all the plaudits.

If I had played CoD4 properly earlier, I wouldn't have been so disappointed with MW2. Very solid game, but I hate the way the way they structure the story - very good, chaotic atmosphere though. But it is like playing a Nicholas Cage blockbuster or summat.

I wouldn't really care if any FPS developer (apart from maybe Valve) went under. There will be a dozen more to waiting in line to replace them with their identikit games. I suppose at least CoD4 was kinda original as a MW game.

hahahahhahahahaha nice 1.

@Mmmmgrolsch: If treyarch is so bad why was their last game better than IW's? What does that make them?
Sleepaphobic on 26 Apr '10
I don't know why respawn didn't call themselves Infinty Ward 2 as all they seem to make is sequels. Now all the staff are joining them I wonder if we'll get another FPS that's focussed mainly on the online?

CODMW2 Sucks
stedman on 26 Apr '10
Cod 5 wasn't better lol. Treyarch had all the tools handed to them, its not a bad game but all the credit goes to IW for that game.

Treyarch are f**ked now though with no 1 to hold there hands.

Just take a look at their history. p**s poor is all I will say.
