A new Battlefield Bad Company 2 map pack has been revealed.

The free download for all VIP members will see Laguna Alta added to Squad Rush, and Nelson Bay added to Squad Deathmatch.

VIP membership is free for those who bought the game new and for those with used copies it costs 1200 MS Points on Xbox Live or $15 on PSN.

The release is set for sometime in April, so that basically means next week.

We brought news of another Battlefield Bad Company 2 DLC package featuring kit upgrades for a few days ago.

Dice, I love the fact your rewarding your userbase, but these are not really new maps. They're updated playlists.

I'm hoping Dice will release some actual new maps in the coming months.

yeah its not new maps at all

and them charging 480 points for the SPECTS camo packs and achievements makes their 'we wont charge for maps' speech look a joke(but we will charge for s**tty skins)

as this was a Dr Pepper promotion,people outside of the US should of been given an equivalent..so that all we would of had to do was buy a drink and get the codes

and i only play Conquest,so this months VIP update is a load of s**t for me(Squad Deathmatch and Squad Rush only...pfft)

I do agree though that it would also be nice to have some completely original ones too, but they are updating for free so that's nice.

I know that everybody wants new designed maps and I believe they will come soon. But there are only two main game types i.e Rush & Conquest and I like both, but my friends usually play Rush which leaves me playing the same 6 maps on the Rush current playlist over and over, so to add maps from the other playlist(s) is welcomed news for me and it's free so why all the sad faces Very Happy

Edit: Lol I just read the article properly and now realised they have only updated Squad Rush & Squad Deathmatch playlist Embarassed

Now I'm p**sed... We want NEW Maps! lol

Would like some completely new maps or a classic map pack with wake island and a couple from bad company 1 (oasis)

No doubt Dice are making "new" maps while they release these updated ones. Just as long as they take their time and release it with as few exploits as possible. It would be awesome if they released some updated classic maps too from Battlefield 2, but I think they'll hold that off until Battlefield 3.
