Monkey Island 2 Special Edition screenshots

More comparison shots for your eyes
LucasArts has released yet another batch of before and after screens for Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge.

Check them out below. The last batch of comparison shots came a week ago.

LucasArts announced Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge near the beginning of March.

The special edition features updated graphics, a re-mastered musical score and will allow gamers to have the option to directly control the main character, Guybrush Threepwood, abandoning the point-and-click system of old.

As long as you can still point and click in the remastered version I'll be happy. Call me old fashioned if you will but it's a unique control style and it's removal would harm some of the nostalgia for me. P.S love you Guybrush you fight-like -a-dairy-farmer-hunk you

Kimoak - agreed and confirmed.

Nice to have the option for direct control. Especially as I'll also be buying this on the 360.

Shame they can't patch direct control into MI1:SE as that would be nice on the Xbox (and now the PS3). They've dropped it into the game engine for MI2 so it couldn't be THAT difficult...

And CVG - why do you keep publishing this as news? Lucasarts are releasing a new screenshot every day - old version in the morning, new version in the evening... Join the FB group to keep up to date!

I do worry I'm spoiling the game for myself by seeing every single location and character! (I've played through MI2 approx 50 times in the last 19 years, but still a nice surprise to see what they've done and I CAN NOT WAIT to hear the new voiceovers.

LOVE the way they've essentially recreated Steve Purcell's exact artwork for the backgrounds in this one too. And zombie LeChuck is based on some concept art he drew for MI2:SE years ago...

Even the screens from the original look artistically better than 99% of the s**t that dribbles out of bottom hole developers these days.
Such a crying shame that it will not be getting a retail release with a box and manual.

Ah the Flegum Master!

Cant wait to play this and new games too please!

Hopefully it will sell well and re vamp the series/Genre on PSN and XBL
