IPhone 4G images leaked?

Is this what you'll be playing Farmville on this summer?
Supposed images of Apple's next-gen iPhone, dubbed the '4G', have leaked onto the internet.

The new device was apparently found - and we're not joking - on the floor of a San Jose bar, which is surely the worst lax of security since that MI5 bloke left his laptop on the train.

Apparently the new iPhone features a front facing camera, 80GB of storage and isn't turning on right now - probably because the original owner dropped it in his pint.

According to rumours from last month, the new device will feature a larger, 960×640 double-resolution display and faster CPU, which would obviously have a massive effect on gaming.

UPDATE: Engadget has since posted "proof" that these shots are in fact legit, via the left photograph of pre-reveal leaked shots of the Apple iPad (which turned out to be real). In the top right corner of the photo you can clearly see what looks like this 'leaked' next-gen iPod. So... it's real then?

UPDATE 2: Gizmodo's posted a video of the new iPhone in erm... 'action'. Read more here.

"accidentally" dropped. Yeah right... in this day and age, these things don't get leaked 'unintentionally'

This has been confirmed as a fake by some Japanese fraudster who was trying to sell it to publications for $10k.

The world is Apple mad!!! Please dont ever make a real home console Apple, please?

That is clearly not an Apple product as it has far too many buttons for one of their portable devices. Less buttons, more gloss.
Conkers on 19 Apr '10
Conkers - Do you mean it's got exactly the same amount of buttons as the existing iPhone?

CVG, you mean MI5, not M15.

Apparently these pics are actually genuine. There are some more shots than this of it and they were leaked ages ago, far before the iPad was announced. In one of the shots you can see side of an iPad. Like I said these were leaked ages ago before the iPad officially existed so it would be pretty hard to fake a shot like that.........

Leaked my bottom, trust me CVG won't print stuff that breaks any NDA they have.
I actually did leak Final Fantasy XIV Alpha screens & videos on my blog then sent CVG the address.
CVG didn't print my FFXIV leak, probably because it was a leak that didn't come from Square-enix.

All these 'leaked' stories are bulls**t. Its just a new way to repackage breaking news.

The story is a bit to far fetched to be true. He found it in a bar? I some how think apple engineers wouldn't be in a public bar trying out their secret prototype and then "accidentally" drop it and didn't notice. Whether the images of the phone itself are fake I don't know but it doesn't look sleek enough for a Apple product and has to many straight edges. Looks more like an LG phone that imitates the iphone.

No, what you can’ see on the other side is that it has 4000 non identical buttons sandwiched in along with two styluses (stlyi?) as everyone knows Steve Jobs loves using a stylus for everything. Especially eating pomegranates

At the end of the day it will be over priced like the others. They will probably get you to sign a 30 year contract too and steal your soul whilst at it.
